I refer to my encaustics as "Rock Formations". Wax mimics nature as I build the layers of matter that become solid stone.  As liquid wax melts, colors merge into a solid that human hands, acting as water and air, carve graceful separations and crevices. During this process, I am one with the Universal Maker in a meditation of wholeness. Nature's beautiful rock formations constantly inspire, influence and guide me.
